Passenger Handling Course
This course is aimed at those individuals wanting to work within airports on the ground/ ramp assisting passengers with travel booking/ reservations, checking-in, boarding and escorting.

  • 2 Weeks

  • Be a South African citizen or hold a valid study/ visitor’s visa while undergoing training
  • Be medically fit
  • Preferably have matriculated with no particular subjects
  • Be presentable (height and weight in proportion)

  • Full-time classes Monday to Friday – 09:00 – 15:30
  • On a Friday class will end at 13h00
  • Course program may be changed at short notice due to external factors such as load-shedding, availability of facilities, etc

  • R 5 980.00 all inclusive
  • 50% to be paid on registration; 50% to be paid within 30 days of commencement of training
This course includes:
  • Regulatory framework and regulatory bodies operating within the aviation industry
  • Aircraft orientation/ type, the theory of flight, general knowledge of loads and balances
  • Geography and concepts pertaining to aviation
  • Dangerous Goods (GROUP E)
  • Human factors in aviation
  • Occupational Health and Safety and ensuring Passenger safety from start to finish
  • Aviation Security and Safety/ Dangerous Goods Handling
  • Customer service excellence
  • Team-Work and working with people
  • Managing irate passengers and customer complaints
  • Managing the Passenger Handling Process
Conditions of Passenger Handling Training:

  • On successful completion of the theoretical training, students must then pass a final written exam with a pass mark of 75%. This course is practically orientated therefore practical exercises and assessments are contained within the training material as the course progresses.
Included in the Passenger Handling training program is the following:

-A visit to the Cape Town International Airport

-A visit to the Air Traffic Control centre in Cape Town
Not included in the training is:

  • Professional compilation of CVs (this can be done at an additional cost of R350-00)
  • Employment or arrangement of any interviews with Airlines (we are not a placement agency)
